Assign roles within a collaboration

If you are a lead for a particular collaboration, you can change the role of any participant to any other role. However, you cannot change your own role.

  1. Enter the collaboration.

  2. Click My Account > Manage Users.

    A list of users appears. The current role of each user (Lead, Member, or Share) appears in the Type column.

  3. Select the desired users. Use the following as a guide:

    • To select a user, mark the check box next to the name of the user. You can select more than one user.

    • To select all users on a page, mark the check box in the column heading row.

    • To navigate among multiple pages of users, use the Pages links. eArray remembers your selections as you go from page to page.

    • To sort the list based on the contents of the User Name or Status columns, click the desired column heading. To reverse the order of the sort, click the column heading again. eArray highlights the heading of the current sort column in white.
       

  4. Click one of these buttons:

Make Share User

Assigns the users the role of collaboration share user.

Make Member

Assigns the users the role of collaboration member.

Make Lead

Assigns the users the role of collaboration lead. eArray allows collaborations to have more than one collaboration lead.

eArray assigns the chosen role to all selected collaboration participants. The notations in the Type column change to reflect the new role. eArray also sends each affected participant an e-mail to inform them of their new role.

A message informs you that your request was processed successfully.

  1. Click Close.
