If you use the Agilent GeneSpring program to display and analyze data from gene expression microarrays, you can download files for use in the program from eArray. The files are organized by species, and include:
Transcript Mapping Files – Contain the available TranscriptIDs for the selected species, and all of the relevant details for each transcript, such as gene symbol, location, description, and the like.
GO Mapping Files – Contain the available GeneIDs for the selected species, and the corresponding GO (Gene Ontology) annotation for each gene.
To download a GeneSpring file, follow these steps:
Click the Workspace tab.
Set the application type to Expression.
Click Probe
> GeneSpring Download.
The GeneSpring download page appears.
Select the desired Species and File Type from the lists.
Click Download.
A File Download dialog box appears.
Click Save.
A Save As dialog box appears.
Select a location for the downloaded
file, then click Save.
eArray downloads the file in *.zip format to the location that you
selected.
