Learn to navigate the Mutagenesis application type

The Mutagenesis application type in eArray lets you design libraries of mutagenic DNA oligonucleotides (oligos). See Learn about mutagenic oligos and mutagenesis libraries to learn more about the uses and functionality of the Mutagenesis application type.

To use the Mutagenesis application type, set the application type to Mutagenesis.

The Mutagensis Workspace in eArray Main

The mutagenesis workspace consists of 4 tabs

The table below describes the tabs and main commands that are available within the Workspace tab in the Mutagenesis application type.

Tab	Main commands available
Home	My Libraries pane – Shows the mutagenesis libraries in your eArray account that have a status of Submitted. Libraries with this status have been submitted to Agilent Manufacturing, and can be quoted and downloaded. To view and take action on libraries with any status, use the Search command in the Libraries tab. Library Wizards pane – This pane is the starting point for wizards that lead you through a specific mutagenesis library creation method. See Ways to create mutagenesis libraries. The pane also contains a list of your in-progress mutagenesis wizards. Click View All to see the complete list of in-progress wizards, and Refresh to update the list to its most current version. Also available in this pane is the Create Mutagenesis Oligo Set wizard, which lets you create oligo set(s) based on the application of mutational strateg(ies) to the mutational region(s) that you define for a given target sequence. You can then create a library from the generated oligo sets.
Libraries	Search – Retrieves mutagenesis libraries from your eArray account that match the criteria that you enter. You can then take action on the retrieved libraries. Request Quote – Lets you request a price quote from Agilent for a mutagenesis library. Create Library – Lets you use a wizard to create a mutagenesis library. You can also continue or delete an in-progress wizard. See Ways to create mutagenesis libraries.
Oligo Sets	Search – Retrieves oligo sets from your eArray account that match the criteria that you enter. You can then take action on the retrieved oligo sets This lets you view, delete, or download an oligo set. You can also create a mutagenesis library that contains selected oligo sets from the search results. Create Oligo Sets – Opens a wizard that lets you create mutagenesis oligo set(s) based on the application of mutational strateg(ies) to the mutational region(s) that you define for a given target sequence.
