Add/Delete/Rename collaboration folders

If you are a collaboration lead or a collaboration member, you can:

Add a subfolder

Delete a subfolder

Rename a subfolder

When eArray creates a collaboration, it also creates a root or "parent" folder with the same name as the collaboration. You can add subfolders to this root folder or to its subfolders. You can remove or rename any subfolder but not the root folder.

Folders and subfolders that appear in the collaboration space do not appear in your regular user workspace.

Add a subfolder

  1. Enter the collaboration.

  2. Click My Account > Manage Folders.

A folder management page appears. The Manage Folders pane shows the folder structure of the collaboration. Click plus_icon.gif to expand a folder, or click minus_icon.gif to collapse it.

  3. In the Manage Folder pane, click the name of a folder to select it. eArray will add a subfolder to the one you select.

The name of the selected folder appears under Folder Details in Folder Name.

  4. Click Add Subfolder.

The New Subfolder Name box appears.

  5. In New Subfolder Name, type a name for the subfolder. The name of the subfolder must contain at least one letter or number, and must not contain any special characters except spaces, hyphens, and underscores.

  6. Click Save.

eArray creates the new subfolder, and adds it to the folder structure in the Manage Folder pane.

A message informs you that the folder has been successfully created.
