You use subfolders to organize eArray data in a way that suits your particular needs. When eArray creates a workgroup, it also creates a root or "parent" folder with the same name as the workgroup. You can add subfolders to this root folder or to its subfolders. You can delete or rename any subfolder, but not the root folder.
If you are a workgroup administrator, you might create subfolders within your workgroup for each of its main areas of research, and create subfolders of each of those main areas for the individuals associated with them. This can simplify the process when you grant access privileges.
If you are a default user, your workgroup administrator assigns you access privileges for specific folders. You can add, delete, and rename subfolders within those folders as needed.
Note: You cannot delete a folder if it contains data, and you cannot rename or delete the root-level workgroup folder. You also cannot add to, delete, or rename any Agilent Catalog folder.
