Example of GO Search

This example describes how to search for all Expression type Agilent catalog probes for the species Homo sapiens that contain the GO term acetylcholine biosynthesis.  

  1. Click the Workspace tab.

  2. Set the application type to Expression.

  3. Click the Probe tab, then select GO Search.

    The GO Search pane appears.

  4. Specify the following search criteria.

Follow these steps to select the GO term Acetylcholine biosynthesis:

  1. Click Select and Add.
    A GO term selection page appears in a new window.

  2. In GO Term, type acetylch

  3. In Species, select H. sapiens.

  4. Click Search.
    A list of GO terms appears.

  5. Click the term Acetylcholine biosynthesis to select it.

  6. Click Add.
    eArray transfers the term to the Selected GO Annotation list.

  7. Click Done.
    The selection window closes, and the selected term appears in GO Term.

Folder

Select AgilentCatalog.  Also mark Include subfolders.

Species

Select H. sapiens from the list.

Used In Probe Groups

Leave blank.

Exact Search

Do not mark this option.

  1. Click Search.

    eArray begins the search. The search may take some time.

    A search results pane lists the probes that match your search criteria.
