Welcome to eArray |
eArray is a Web portal from Agilent that empowers you to leap ahead of your field by offering a new source of genomic information, a home for your own information, and a means to create new microarray designs, SureSelect enrichment libraries, and mutagenic oligos online. eArray is a site that keeps the information in functional genomics together.
eArray fits into your microarray research workflow at two critical points:
As you design your experiment, it provides the tools to either evaluate and select Agilent catalog microarrays to use in your research, or to design your own custom microarrays.
When you have finished running your hybridizations, it provides you with the design files necessary for feature extraction, and further downstream analysis.
eArray provides multiple capabilities:
Download the latest annotation for all of the probes on a specific Agilent Catalog microarray or for a group of probes that you have searched and saved on eArray.
Create unique custom microarrays for your application with just a Web browser and an Internet connection, using available Agilent probes, or your own uploaded probes. eArray supports a wide variety of microarray applications, including gene expression, comparative genomic hybridization (CGH), chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), microRNA, and array-based DNA capture. You can also create specialized CGH+SNP microarrays and Exon microarrays.
Create probes using powerful tools targeted to specific microarray applications. Create probes that tile sequences that you upload, or genomes available within eArray for CGH and ChIP applications, or create probes for gene expression applications based on target sequence data that you upload.
Create bait libraries that can enrich particular DNA or RNA species in pools of genomic DNA fragments or RNAs. Within eArray, you can search, upload, or create the bait sequences. Agilent can then produce a kit of biotinylated RNA baits that you use to isolate specific genomic DNA fragments or RNAs of interest for sequencing. See Learn about SureSelect enrichment libraries.
Create libraries of mutagenic DNA oligonucleotides (oligos) that can be used with Agilent's QuikChange Oligo Library Mutagenesis System to create variant forms of a gene of interest. After uploading the wild-type DNA sequence and selecting a mutagenic strategy, eArray generates a set of oligos that are designed to create all the site-directed mutations you are interested in studying. See Learn about mutagenic oligos and mutagenesis libraries.
eArray can help you in many more ways:
Knowledgebase and tools
You need to be able to access public genome information tools from
a single location. To address this, eArray provides links to the National
Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), the TIGR
Human Gene Index (THG), Ensembl, UCSC genome
browser, AmiGO and more. Or if you are
a bioinformatician or analyst
who already has in-house tools, you can download information to use
with your tools. eArray lets you download information about Agilent
probes and microarray designs.
Genomic
Information and Seamless Availability
eArray maintains an extensive catalog of genomes and microarray oligonucleotide
probes representing such genomes or designs as ready reference. You
can search and evaluate Agilent probes and catalog microarrays. Or
if you prefer, you can upload your own information, annotation or
probes into eArray as a home for your microarray information.
Custom
Microarray Design
When you design a custom microarray with eArray, you can start from
scratch, or you can use an existing microarray design as a starting
point and optimize its probe content for your specific needs. Custom
microarrays can contain Agilent catalog probes, your own probes, third
party probes or a mix of these, in any of the many available Agilent
custom microarray formats.
Sharing
and Collaborations
eArray has fundamental infrastructure and security that enable private
or public sharing of information for your collaborative efforts or
other research needs. You can also publish
your custom content on the eArray Public page, an resource for
sharing genomics-related research.
Efficiency
and Turnaround
Information flow is a bottleneck in any process. eArray allows a seamless
flow of information between Agilent and you, which reduces the time
needed to go from concept to implementation of design, to experiment
and reiterations. In less time, you accomplish more.
Platform
Information Source
There are many microarray options and technologies, from mask-based
technology to oligo deposition to chemiluminescence.
To add to this complexity is an overwhelming number of public web
sites with constantly changing information and tools. eArray provides
a solution to overcome this complexity and need for tracking multiple
web sites by providing a single site with key links to other public
sites and tools.
