Welcome to SureDesign

SureDesign is a web application from Agilent that enables you to create your own custom target enrichment library designs, microarray designs, fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) designs, and single guide RNA designs based on the targets that you want to analyze. Using SureDesign's intuitive design wizards, you enter your target genes or genomic coordinates, define the regions of interest within those targets and define a few probe selection parameters, and SureDesign uses that information to select probes or oligos to analyze the desired target regions.

SureDesign stores all information about your custom designs, and allows you to share those designs with other users in your workgroup and additional collaborators, request price quotes, download design information, and place orders.

You can also use SureDesign to find information on designs offered in the Agilent catalog. SureDesign allows you to browse or search for catalog designs, request price quotes, and place orders.

See the help topic Set up an account for instructions on registering for a SureDesign account.

For users of Agilent eArray or HaloPlex Design Wizard

If you previously used eArray to create a SureSelect DNA library or a custom microarray, or if you used the HaloPlex Design Wizard to create a HaloPlex design, your custom designs have now been transferred to your new SureDesign account. (Note that the SureSelect DNA libraries that you created in eArray are referred to as designs in SureDesign, and baits and bait groups are now called probes and probegroups.)

To view your custom designs in SureDesign, click Find Designs and then select the appropriate application to open the Find Designs screen. Then click the My Designs tab. See View and search for designs for complete instructions.

If you used eArray for the design of custom Gene Expression microarrays or SureSelect RNA target enrichment libraries, continue to use the eArray website to create, manage, and order those products.

If you have additional questions about the transition to SureDesign, contact Agilent technical support.

For users new to Agilent custom target enrichment

Target enrichment uses oligonucleotides, called probes, to capture genomic regions of interest for next generation sequencing. In SureDesign, a SureSelect or HaloPlex design provides the blueprint that Agilent uses to manufacture the probes that make up the target enrichment library. To synthesize the oligonucleotide probes, Agilent builds the probes on glass slides using its SurePrint technology, then cleaves the DNA from the surface of the slide and converts it to a SureSelect or HaloPlex library. The design elements include the sequences of the individual probes and the relative abundance of each probe. When you create a design, you are creating the blueprint for a single mixture of probes to be used in a SureSelect or HaloPlex target enrichment protocol.
