Share probe group |
|
When you share a probe group, you move it from a folder in your individual user workspace to a new or existing collaboration. eArray creates a new collaboration workspace, if needed. Other users can then access the probe group through the collaboration. You can share probe groups with a status of Incomplete or Locked.
Note: The Share feature is not available within a collaboration. To move a probe group from a collaboration, use the Move command.
You must be the owner of the probe group.
The probe group must not be located in a collaboration folder.
The probe group must not be an Agilent catalog probe group, but it can contain Agilent catalog probes.
If
you will be sharing your probe group in a new collaboration workspace,
you need to know the e-mail addresses of your desired collaborators.
Search
or Browse for the probe groups
you want to share.
eArray displays a list of probe groups. If there are many probe groups,
eArray paginates the list. Use the Pages links above and below the
list to navigate among the pages.
Select the probe groups that you want to share. Use the following as a guide:
To select a probe group, mark the check box by its name.
To navigate through multiple pages of results, use the Pages links. eArray remembers your selections as you go from page to page.
To select all of the probe groups on a page, mark the check box in the column heading row of the Search Results.
To
sort the order of the probe group list based on any column (except
Actions), click the heading of the column. To reverse the order
of the sort, click the column heading again.
Click Share.
The Share Probe Group(s) page appears.
Select one of these options:
Add probe group(s) to an existing collaboration workspace – Moves the probe groups to a selected collaboration.
Add probe group(s) to a new collaboration workspace – Creates a new collaboration workspace, then moves the probe groups to this new workspace.
In Share Probe Group(s), select one of the following. You can only share a probe group if it is not in use in a microarray design. These options define what eArray does if a selected probe group is in use in a microarray design.
Make copy if used in other designs – If a probe group you are sharing is part of an existing microarray design, eArray creates a duplicate probe group and moves this duplicate to the location you specify.
Cancel move if used in other designs
– If a probe
group you are moving is part of an existing microarray design,
eArray cancels your requested move.
