Subscribe to library updates

The content of public sequence databases and the understanding of gene function both change over time. This changes the baits that are used in certain libraries, and the annotation associated with them. As part of the library download process, you can request update notification. If you request notification, Agilent sends you an e-mail if a change meets these criteria:

• Significant changes in the content of an existing Agilent catalog library

• Significant changes in the content associated with an existing Agilent catalog library

• Changes made to the annotation of Agilent baits used in libraries that you have created

For the SureSelect Target Enrichment application type, you can also use the procedure in this topic to subscribe to updates for library sets.
 

To request e-mail updates about a specific library

To request update notification for a library that you have not yet downloaded, follow these steps:

1. Download the desired library.
   
   During the download process, after you select the files that you want to download, a dialog box asks if you want to subscribe to library updates.

2. Click OK.

To manage your notification subscriptions

If you have downloaded a library, you can cancel, restore, or request a subscription to update notification.

1. Click the Workspace tab, or enter a collaboration.

2. Set the application type to SureSelect Target Enrichment or SureSelect RNA Enrichment.

3. Click Library > Notification.
   
   eArray displays a list of libraries that you have downloaded. Your subscription status for each appears in the Subscription column.

4. Select the desired libraries from the list. Use the following as a guide:

   • To select a library, mark the check box next to its name. You can select more than one library.

   • To select all libraries on a page, mark the check box in the column heading row.

   • To sort the list based on the contents of any column, click the heading of the desired column.

   • To reverse the order of the items, click the column heading again.

   • To go to another page of libraries, click one of the Pages links.
      

5. To cancel your subscriptions to updates for the selected libraries, click Unsubscribe. To restore or request a subscription, select the name of the desired library, then click Subscribe.
   
   A message tells you that your notification subscription(s) were successfully updated.

6. Click Close.
