Edit public page

With eArray, you can publish your custom SureSelect library or microarray design on the Public tab. For details, see Publish content . When you first publish your library or microarray design, or at any time after that, you can make changes to the public page. To edit a public page, you must be its owner.

  1. If a list of your public page(s) does not already appear in the main window of your browser, click the Public tab in your regular user workspace, or in a collaboration workspace.

A list of your public pages appears. To sort the list of pages based on the contents of a column, click an underlined column heading. To reverse the order of the sort, click the column heading again.

  2. In the Actions column, next to the desired public page, click Edit.

The public page editor appears in a new window.

  1. In the public page editor, click the General tab.

The general information associated with the chosen public page appears. For newly published pages, eArray automatically fills in several items based on the information associated with the given library or microarray design. On the actual public page, eArray provides additional information, as available.

  2. Change or add any of the following, except as noted.

Instructions/Details

Design Name

(Required) (Available for microarray-related application types) Type a new name for the design. The Design Name must have from 1 to 100 characters, and can include only letters, numbers, periods, hyphens, and underscores.

Library Name

(Required) (Available for the SureSelect Target Enrichment and SureSelect RNA Enrichment application types) Type a new name for the library. The Library Name must have from 1 to 100 characters, and can include only letters, numbers, periods, hyphens, and underscores.

Description

(Required) Type a new description for the library or microarray design that is associated with this public page. The description should provide basic information about the purpose of the particular library or microarray design.

Target Sequence Source

(Available for microarray-related application types) Type the name of the database or other source from which the target sequences for the associated microarray design were obtained.

Target Regions

(Available for the SureSelect Target Enrichment and SureSelect RNA Enrichment application types) Type explanatory information that identifies the genomic regions covered by the baits in the library.

Probe Design Specifications

(Available for microarray-related application types) Type information about how the probes on the associated array were selected or generated — for example, "GE Probe Design, one probe per target sequence, Tm matching methodology."

Bait Design Specification

(Available for the SureSelect Target Enrichment and SureSelect RNA Enrichment application types) Provide the bait design rules that were observed during the design process. If you used the bait design tools in eArray, include the bait tiling frequency, bait length, design strategy, and the sequencing technology and protocol. If you designed the baits outside of eArray, reference the bait design tool or methodology as well as other appropriate information.

How I designed the array/library

Type brief information about the options that you used to create the library or microarray design — for example, "Default replicate probe group, biological probe groups replicated 5 times, no filler probe group."

Workgroup/Organization

(Read-only) The workgroup or organization from which the library or microarray design originated.

Owner/Publisher

(Read-only) The name of the person who owns the folder that contains the public page.

Species

If available, the name of the species that is defined for the microarray or library appears in the box. You can edit or provide a name.

Options
(for microarrays)

(Available for microarray-related application types) Mark or clear any of these options, as desired:

  • Allow others to download design files – Adds a Design Files link to the Downloads section of the public page. This link allows visitors to download the design files for the microarray that is associated with the public page.

  • Allow others to reference link – Adds a Reference URL section to the public page. This provides visitors to your public page a link to the page that they can copy.

  • Allow others to order design – Adds an Order this design link to the public page. This allows visitors to your public page to order and obtain copies of the microarray from Agilent. Visitors provide their contact information, then request quotes from Agilent for the item. They receive confirmation e-mails, after which an Agilent sales representative contacts them to help them with their orders.

  • Note: If you mark Allow others to order design, and save your public page, you cannot subsequently remove the order link from the public page, or delete the public page itself. In addition, the microarray remains orderable by its Agilent part number, even if you hide the public page.

Options
(for libraries)

(Available for the SureSelect Target Enrichment and SureSelect RNA Enrichment application types) Mark or clear any of these options, as desired:

  • Allow others to download library files – Adds a Library Files link to the Downloads section of the public page. This link allows visitors to download the files for the library that is associated with the public page.

  • Allow others to reference link – Adds a Reference URL section to the public page. This provides visitors to your public page a link to the page that they can copy.

  • Allow others to order library – Adds an Order this library link to the public page. This allows visitors to your public page to order and obtain copies of the library from Agilent. Visitors provide their contact information, then request quotes from Agilent for the item. They receive confirmation e-mails, after which an Agilent sales representative contacts them to help them with their orders.

  • Note: If you mark Allow others to order library, and save your public page, you cannot subsequently remove the order link from the public page, or delete the public page itself. In addition, the library remains orderable by its Agilent part number, even if you hide the public page.

Bait Length

(Read-only, available for the SureSelect Target Enrichment and SureSelect RNA Enrichment application types) The length of the baits in the library, in nucleotides. All baits in a library have the same length.
