View bait group |
|
You can view information about a specific bait group of any status, including the list of baits in the bait group and their sequences, associated keywords, accessions, and statistical information.
Search
or Browse for the bait group
that you want to view.
A list of bait groups appears.
In the Actions
column of the list, next to the desired bait group, click View.
The View Bait Group page opens in a new window. The top pane contains
the following information. All items are read-only, except as noted.
Property |
Details |
Bait Group Name |
Name of the bait group, assigned by its creator. |
Status |
Incomplete – Bait group can be edited. Locked – Bait group cannot be edited. Also, locked bait groups cannot be unlocked. |
Created by |
User who defined the bait group and saved it. |
Unique Baits |
(SureSelect RNA Enrichment application type only) Number of distinct baits in the bait group. |
Base Coverage |
(SureSelect RNA Enrichment application type only) The collective number of bases (in Mb) in the target sequence(s) that are covered by baits in the bait group. If all baits in the bait group have chromosomal locations defined for them, this statistic is the total number of bases (in Mb) in the genome of interest (or the corresponding transcripts, as appropriate) that are covered by at least one bait in the bait group. If one or more baits in the bait group do not have chromosomal locations defined for them, this statistic is an estimate of the number of bases (in Mb) in the genome of interest (or the corresponding transcripts, as appropriate) that are covered by at least one bait in the bait group. The estimate is based on the number of unique baits in the bait group, the bait length, and the bait tiling density. Unless otherwise warranted, eArray assumes a bait tiling density of 2x. |
Description |
Brief description of bait group, assigned by its creator. |
Keyword |
One or more search keywords. Multiple terms are separated by commas. |
Length |
The number of nucleotides in each of the baits in the bait group. All baits in a given bait group have the same length. |
No. of Baits |
Total number of baits in the bait group. |
Created Date |
Date the bait group was first saved in eArray. |
Tiling Frequency |
(SureSelect RNA Enrichment application type only) The bait tiling frequency associated with the baits in the bait group. It is the approximate number of baits in the bait group that cover each base in the tiled region(s) that are represented in the library. If the Bait Tiling tool was used to create the bait group, this property is the tiling frequency that was selected for the process. If the bait group was created from uploaded baits, the tiling frequency is the value that was selected by the person who initially uploaded the baits. |
Bait Group Category |
(Read-only, SureSelect RNA Enrichment application type only) eArray supports RNA Capture bait groups, which contain baits that retrieve specific RNA species from a pool of RNAs. |
No. of Libraries that Use this Bait Group |
Number of libraries that contain this bait group. Click Show Libraries, if it appears, to view a list of these libraries. |
Search Criteria |
Click Click Here, if it appears, to view the most recent criteria used to search for the baits contained in the bait group. The search criteria appear in a new window. These search criteria can give you additional insight into how the baits in the bait group were selected. |
The Search Results pane lists the baits in the bait group. Available annotation for each bait appears in the appropriate columns in the list. Perform the following tasks, as needed:

Instructions/Details |
Show bait sequence and statistics |
Click Show Statistics. A new window opens with a list of the baits in the bait group, their sequences, and calculated statistics based on sequence length and base composition. To download the information from this window, click Download. |
Download bait group |
For information about the contents of different types of downloaded files, see Download bait group. |
Filter the bait list |
For more information about filters, see How to create a custom probe filter. |
View Accessions |
In the Accessions column, click any accession that appears as a hyperlink to open the Web site of the applicable database in a new browser window. |
View Chromosomal Location |
In the Chromosomal Location column, two icons can appear. Click to open the Ensembl genome browser in a new window. Click to open the UCSC genome browser in a new window. In both cases, eArray automatically transfers the specific chromosomal location data to the genome browser. |
Click Close.
