The tools and functions of the SureDesign program are organized into three main tabs: the Home tab, the Find Designs tab, and the Create Designs tab.
In addition to the tab-specific tools and functions, the top of the program window includes a few general purpose links that are accessible from any tab.
Click the Home tab to access the program's Home screen. This screen has dashboards for quickly accessing and monitoring your in-progress designs, and for viewing any designs that you recently completed or downloaded, or that you marked as a favorite. When you log in to SureDesign, the program opens to the Home screen.
The Home screen is also the place to see messages from collaborators and from Agilent regarding SureDesign (e.g., scheduled downtimes), and access links to SureDesign tutorials, example files, and other Agilent Genomics software programs.

The content of the Find Designs tab is application-specific. Select the application for the designs you want to access from the drop-down menu on the Find Designs tab. The program opens the Find Designs screen that is specific to the selected application.
The Find Designs screen displays the designs table, which lists designs that are accessible to your SureDesign account. Use the tabs (Agilent Catalog, My Designs, and Collaborations) to toggle between tables. Up to four different tables are available depending on the design type.

Collaborations - custom designs that are part of a collaboration
Published - custom designs created by third-party experts in the field
The filters and other tools on the Find Designs screen help you locate a particular design of interest. See View and search for designs for more information.
Tip: You can use the breadcrumbs at the top of the Find Designs screen to see which application you selected and which designs table you are currently viewing. The breadcrumbs shown below would indicate that you selected the SureSelect DNA application and are viewing the My Designs table.
The Create Designs tab provides a quick way to access the program's design wizards for creating custom designs. Put your cursor over the Create Designs tab and click the application for the design you want to create. The program opens the design wizard window for the selected application.

Use the options and links near the top right corner of the program window to access general program functions.
Show Advanced Option check box
The three main tabs of the SureDesign interface provide access to the program's most commonly used tools and functions. Mark the Show Advanced Options check box to activate additional capabilities. The advanced options are described here, and are noted throughout the help system.
Name (Workgroup)
The gray text next to the Show Advanced Options check box indicates the name of the person currently logged in to SureDesign, with the name of the workgroup in parentheses.
Links
· Cart - opens your Agilent Genomics shopping cart in a new browser window or tab; the number in parentheses indicates the number of items in your cart
· Logout - logs you out of SureDesign
· Settings - opens the Settings dialog box, which has tools for updating your personal account information and changing your account password
· Help - opens the SureDesign help system to the topic pertaining to the indicated screen or dialog box (for example, Help - Home opens the help topic pertaining to the Home screen)
