Browse libraries |
|
The Browse Library tool lets you view and take action on available libraries without having to do a search. You can browse workgroup or collaboration libraries by folder. If your workgroup administrator or collaboration lead sets up browse categories, you can also browse workgroup or collaboration libraries by category.
Click the Workspace tab, or enter a collaboration.
Set the application type to SureSelect Target Enrichment or SureSelect RNA Enrichment.
Click the Libraries tab.
Click Browse
Library.
The Browse Library page displays all of the libraries that are available
to you for the selected application type. To go to another page of
results, click one of the Pages
links. The left pane of the page contains hierarchical lists of folders
and categories.
For the SureSelect Target Enrichment application type, eArray supports
the types of libraries that are described in the table below. The
type of each library appears in the Library Type column.
Library Type |
Description |
Normal |
A library that is not a base, supplemental, or combined library, or a custom library set. |
Base |
An Agilent Catalog library that can be used as a base library when you create a combined library. Only certain catalog libraries can be used as base libraries. Agilent Catalog libraries are also available as separate entities. |
Supplemental |
A library that can be added to a base library when you create a combined library. To create a supplemental library, you use the Bait Tiling wizard to design baits to additional genomic regions, based on the Bait Tiling parameters that are defined for a selected base library. You can also work with supplemental libraries as separate entities. |
Combined |
A library that contains a base library and an associated supplemental library. See Combine Base and Supplemental Libraries. |
Custom Library Set |
Currently, eArray supports the 1 X 55K library size, which can accommodate up to 57,750 baits. If you design a custom library that contains more than 57,750 baits, eArray automatically creates a library set, which distributes the requested baits evenly among multiple libraries. Library sets are handled as a single entity. You cannot separately work with or order the individual libraries in a library set. For details, see Library sets. |
Note: In the SureSelect RNA Enrichment application type, library browse results do not display library types for retrieved libraries.
In the left pane, select a category or folder as described in the table below.

Refine the list of libraries in any of these ways:
To limit the list of libraries, select the desired options from the lists in the yellow area above the list of Search Results, then click Filter. To remove the effects of the filter, set all lists to Select, then click Filter again.
To sort the list based on any column (except Actions), click the specific column heading. To reverse the order of the items, click the same column heading again.
The links and buttons in the right pane of the page let you take action on the libraries in the list. See Actions you can take on libraries.
Note: eArrayXD libraries do not appear when you browse libraries on the eArray Web site. To access these libraries, do a search for eArrayXD libraries.
