When you create a new probe group from an existing probe group, you
search for the existing probe group and make a copy of it. You then make
edits to this copy. This method is useful if the existing probe group
contains most or all of the probes that you want in your new probe group.
If you must make many changes, it may be advantageous to use a different
probe group creation method.
Search
or browse for the desired existing
probe group.
A Search Results pane lists the probe groups that match your criteria.
Use the Pages links to navigate among multiple pages of probe
groups.
In the Actions
column of the Search Results pane, next to the desired probe group,
click Copy.
A message warns you not to take any action until eArray finishes creating
the probe group.
After eArray creates your probe group, a success message appears.
Click Close.
The Edit Probe Group page appears.
Edit
the Probe Group as needed. Be sure to select the desired destination
folder.
Click Save
Probe Group.
eArray saves your probe group to the selected folder. A message appears.
If the probe group is large, eArray creates the probe group in the
background as a separate job. You receive an e-mail when this job
finishes. You can also monitor the status of the job on your workspace
or collaboration home page in the Pending Jobs pane.
Click Close.
Note:
•
If you want to move or share
the probe group, but it is already in use in a microarray design,
you can copy the probe group, then move or share the copy.
•
If you copy an HD probe group, eArray marks the copy as a non-HD probe
group.
