Submit microarray designs/sets |
After you complete a microarray design/set, you can submit it to Agilent manufacturing. Submitting a design or set allows you to request a quote from Agilent, but does not obligate you to place an order. If desired, you can purchase submitted designs/sets from the Agilent Online Store through eArray.
If you selected a feature layout of Customer specified when you created or edited the design, you cannot submit the design until you have uploaded the ordered probe list. See Provide feature order. This feature is not available for microarray sets, or for the microRNA or SureSelect Capture Array application types.
You must be a registered user in eArray and have a valid login name and password.
You must be the owner of the microarray design/set, or if you are submitting the design/set within a collaboration, you must have a role of Lead within the specific collaboration.
Your
microarray design/set must have a status of Complete.
Search
or browse for the
desired microarray design or set.
eArray displays a list of designs or sets. You may find it useful to
filter the list of microarray designs/sets to show only those with
a status of Complete—Above
the search results, in Status,
select Complete, then click
Filter.
In the
Actions column, by the desired
design/set, click Submit.
A dialog box appears.
Click
OK.
A warning message informs you that you are about to submit the design/set.
Once you save the design, you cannot make any changes to it.
In Please type comments here, type comments. Comments are required. eArray stores these comments with your library, but Agilent does not routinely monitor them. If you have a question or request, contact your Agilent sales representative, or Agilent Technical Support.
Click
Design Checklist.
The Microarray Design Checklist appears. The questions in the checklist
are intended to be reminders to help increase the quality of your
microarray design or set before you submit it to Agilent. To preview
the design checklist for your chosen application, click here.
Read the checklist, and mark the check box beside each statement. You must read every statement, and mark every check box before you continue.
Click
Done.
eArray returns you to the previous page.
Click
Yes.
eArray submits the design/set to Agilent manufacturing. Agilent sends
you an e-mail with information about the design/set. You can then
request a quote from
Agilent, or buy it from the
Agilent Online Store through eArray.
Once you submit a microarray design/set, eArray generates design files,
makes them available for download,
and deletes all the earlier versions from the system. The status of
the design/set changes to Submitted. An Agilent representative will
contact you to help you obtain the microarrays you need.
A message confirms that you successfully submitted the design.
Click Close.
Note: Once you submit a microarray design/set, you cannot edit it. However, for CGH, ChIP, and Expression arrays, the owner can change the control type of probe groups in the design/set. To do so, click Change Control Type next to the desired design/set in Microarray/set search or browse results. For details about probe group control types, see Edit microarray design/set.
When you submit a microarray design/set, eArray requires you to view a design/set checklist (reproduced below), and mark the check box next to each item. The questions in the checklist are intended to be reminders to help increase the quality of your microarray design or set before you submit it to Agilent. Review each item as it applies to your microarray design. To preview the custom guidance document for your application type, see Get custom microarray design guidance.
