After you use the eArray search or browse tools to retrieve a microarray design or set, or when you view one in the My Designs pane of a workspace home page, you can take action on it. The actions that you can take on any given microarray design/set depend on its status and whether or not you own it. The figure below shows an example of microarray design search results, and the location of the links and buttons that you can use to take action on microarray designs.
The table below summarizes by status the actions available from search/browse results that you can take on microarray designs and sets. All indicated actions are available to the owner of the design/set. Other users who have access to the folder where the microarray is located can view, download, review, copy, and request a quote for the design/set, as indicated. Click the links in the table for more information on each action.

Note: • The availability of some actions varies by application type. For example, neither the microRNA nor SureSelect Capture Array application types let you convert design formats, since eArray currently provides only one format option for these types. • A separate topic describes what you can do with the microarray designs that you have submitted to the eArray Web site through the eArrayXD application of Agilent Genomic Workbench.
